Dancing Princesses (2-4):
Students are encouraged to play dress up and come to this class to find their inner princess! Students use movement activities, stories, and games to enhance cognitive development and gross motor skills. They also learn about manners, self esteem, sharing, and functioning in a classroom setting without their parents. These are all important skills that will help children as they move into preschool. While parents do not participate in this class, they are asked to remain on the premises.
Funky Hip Hop/Jazz (6+):
This high energy dance class will introduce students to the basics of hip hop and "funky jazz", including the latest hip hop trends & break dancing moves, and foundational jazz skills, such as leaps and turns. Students will also learn to do isolations, body waving, popping, and high energy movements with lots of STYLE! At Studio 3, we believe in “G-rated” hip hop for kids. All movement and costumes will be modest & age appropriate. All music will be free of questionable lyrics & content.
Tumbling/Acro I (5+):
These classes are designed for students to build a foundation in tumbling and acrobatic dance. Students will practice proper warm-up and stretching techniques, and learn tumbling skills such as somersaults, headstands, handstands, backbends, walkovers, cartwheels, and roundoffs. As the level of class progresses, they will begin more difficult skills such as handsprings, partner stunting/weight share, barrels, butterflies, and other acrobatic dance moves. *please avoid wearing hard clips and barettes, as these can be painful to your child when executing basic tumbling skills.

Ballet I. II, III, & IV(8+):
Ballet is the foundation of all styles of dance. Through learning proper ballet technique, students are able to develop the proper alignment, balance, flexibility, and strength that is necessary for jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and other styles of dance. Students transition from barre exercises, to across the floor and center combinations, all aimed at developing proper ballet technique, styling, and performance qualities.
Ballet Repertoire & Pre-Pointe: *audition required
This extension to the ballet program allows students to get a more in-depth ballet education. In this repertoire class, they will learn classical and contemporary ballet choreography to augment their technical training and prepare for the opportunity to go en pointe.
Jazz I, II, III, & IV (8+):
Jazz is a stylized form of dance based strongly in ballet technique. Students focus on various techniques and skills such as turns, leaps, jumps, and other jazz steps to upbeat music with lots of style! These classes focus on using proper technique while emphasizing stage presence and performing qualities. Teachers may also choose to include lyrical, precision, or contemporary styles to increase students’ style vocabulary.
Tap I, II, & III-IV (8+)
Tap is all about rhythm and style! This exciting dance form challenges dancers to create sounds, rhythms and syncopation with their feet. Students will learn fundamental tap and time steps as well as combination step which increase in difficulty as they progress to each level

Showstoppers Premier (8-13), Extreme (10-15), and Elite (13-18):
The
Studio 3 Showstoppers are our elite group of “triple-threat”
performers. Students in this audition based program study dance,
drama, and voice, and have several performing experiences
throughout the semester.
Studio 3DC - Competitive Dance Company (8-18):
3DC is a choreography-based
competition level dance
class. In this class, students learn various dances, which are
performed throughout the semester at various performance,
competitions, and events. This includes a variety of
dance styles such as jazz, hip hop, tap, contemporary, and
lyrical.
Swing Dancing/Aerials (10+):
Swing Dancing is a fun and fast-paced style of dance based on the social dances of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s. Through these classes, students will learn basic swing technique and footwork of various styles, including Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, East Coast Swing and Collegiate Shag. In Aerials class, students will learn the tricks and flips that make this dance so much fun! It is highly recommended that students enrolled in Aerials class also take the Technique class. *Partners are not required to sign up!
Adult Jazz/Ballet/Lyrical (18+) and Adult Jazz/Hip Hop (18+)
Whether you are a seasoned dancer looking to get back into dancing, or just someone who wants to start dancing later in life, this is the class for you! Students will study the basic techniques of ballet, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical, while also getting an amazing workout! We will also do combinations to help with technique and performance qualities.
Fitness Zone Dance Conditioning (All Ages)
Fitness Zone classes are the perfect combination of cardio, strength training, and flexibility to get your body in the Zone! This class is perfect for dancers wanting to tone and strengthen their body, or anyone else just looking to get a good workout.
