  • Savoy Thompson lands lead at Actors Youth Theatre!

    Savoy Thompson was just cast as the lead role of Mongo in “Little Luntheonette of Terror at Actors YouthTheatre! Savoy was just seen as Agwe in Studio 3’s “Once on this Island”, and is a member of Showstoppers Senior Elite. Past credits include “Robinhood” at AYT, “The Music Man” at MET, Adrian in “Smokey Joes” at Studio 3, and Underling in “The Drowsey Chaperone” also at S3.

     

  • Showstoppers are Grand Champions at the Arizona Fame Show Choir Cup!

    Congratulations to the Studio 3 Showstoppers, who were Grand Champions at this year’s first ever Arizona Fame Show Choir Cup! This was a huge feat, as they had never stepped on risers before until the actual competition! It was an exciting end to a spectacular season, and the Showstoppers are excited to be competing at the regional level next year in Hollywood, California.

     

  • 3DC wins the Mayor’s Cup!

    Congratulations to Studio 3DC, who earned the coveted Mayor’s Cup at the 2012 Gilbert Fest. They were selected as the overall winners of the citywide competition, featuring over 20 of Gilbert’s top talents. It was a strong competition season for our 3DC dancers, who also came away with top honors at Releve and Cathy Roe, including overall high scores.

     

  • The cast of Smokey Joe’s Café is nominated for a National Youth Theatre Award!

    Congratulations to the cast of Smokey Joes Café!  They were recently nominated for a National Youth Theatre Award for Outstanding Youth Ensemble. Smokey Joes Café was also recognized for Choreography, winning a National Youth Theatre Award, and scoring an ariZoni nomination as well. Emma England was nominated for set design (NYT), and Ryan Donovan-Schager, Samuel Ellefson, Mackenzie Hickerson, & Ian Winters were all nominated for supporting actor/actress (NYT).

     

  • The cast of The Drowsy Chaperone wins a National Youth Theatre Award!

    Congratulations to the cast of The Drowsy Chaperone! After a nearly sold out run, they are the 2012 winner of a National Youth Theatre Award for Outstanding Youth Ensemble. Jessica Webb was nominated for a National Youth Theatre Award for Lead Actress In a Musical for her role as Janet. Jacqueline Brecker and Mackenna Goodrich were also nominated for both ariZoni and National Youth Theatre Awards for their roles as The Chaperone and Aldolpho (respectively). They were announced winners of the NYT award, and were given the honor of performing their duet at the Arizona Regional Ceremony!
